The State of Oregon provides services to visually impaired and print disabled Oregonians called Talking Book and Braille Services (TBABS).
With our digital player and a TBABS account (http://tbabs.org/) , you will have FREE access to download any NLS digital book you want, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No more wait lists; no more due dates; no more mailing books back and forth. And there are no limits: you can download as many books as you want.
This DA1 plays digital cartridges (DBs), including MP3 and WAV files. It has a variable speed control that permits speeding up or slowing down playback with no change in pitch. This unit is also equipped with a rechargeable battery and an electrical cord. The controls speak when you use them. Use this with or without headphones. It weighs just over 2 lbs.and works great!
